Better Thoughts Transitional Live, operates as a temporary living assistance for those who are diagnosed with brain injuries.​​
The setting offers comprehensive day treatment, assistance supportive living, supportive therapy, community re-integration services,  habilitation and support with activities of daily living.

  • Population of Person Served: Better Thoughts Transitional Live will focus on men and women ages 18 and older who are diagnosed with brain injury in Clark County Nevada.
  • Setting: Residential and day treatment services. We offer ongoing support to individuals navigating intricate medical and complex challenges.
  • Hours of Services: The residential facility will maintain continuous operation, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Home and Community: The program provides comprehensive day treatment, including habilitation services, to support individual clients within the community.
  • Day Habilitation: We provide comprehensive services for individuals with brain injuries and neurological conditions, including occupational, physical, and speech therapy, medication and medical management, independent living training, strength and conditioning life skills, health and wellness programs, family education, nutrition and health education.
  • Days and hours of Service:  The operational hours are from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Community Reintegration: Provides opportunities for community participation of the clients. Services such as health and wellness promotion, volunteerism in the community, orientation, mobility and destination training through RTC, utilization of public transportation, communication activities and educational and training activities. 
  • Frequency of service: The individual served will be provided with various services at a minimum frequency of two times per week.
  • Payers Sources: Commercial Insurance, Workers’ Compensation, Medicaid, and other health insurance providers.
  • Fees: Pricing is determined by the specific requirements of each client.
  • Referral Sources: Rehabilitation facilities, hospitals, case managers, workers’ compensation, health insurance agencies, prospective clients, families, and consumers.
  • Specific services: Better Thoughts Transitional Live will directly provide Community Housing, Supportive Living, Support Therapy, Basic Skill Training, Supportive Assistance Living, Therapy. Counseling and Neuro-Feedback services will be sourced from external providers.

To offer a comprehensive overview of the occupational therapy process for individuals who have sustained a brain injury, drawing upon current evidence regarding the efficacy of various occupational therapy interventions.

  3. Interventions to improve occupational performance of people with visual and visual-perceptual impairments
  4. Interventions to improve occupational performance of people with psychosocial behavioral, or emotional impairments

Keith Ellis – Operations Director

Keith Ellis, as the Director of Operations, is responsible for managing employee status. Mr. Ellis ensures that Better Thoughts maintains compliance with accreditation standards. Keith collaborates with recipients and their families to facilitate understanding of the program’s routine.

Susannah Kosmos – Director

Susannah Kosmos has dedicated over a decade to Better Thoughts, where she expertly manages the residential facility, overseeing both client and employee operations. Her 10 years of experience have equipped her with extensive knowledge in patient care and medication outcome monitoring. Her foundational understanding of the program offers a unique perspective.

Yasmin Montes, Assistant Director

Yasmin Montes, Assistant Director, supports all program management. Additionally, Yasmin is responsible for ensuring comprehensive recipient care, including tracking and managing specialty appointments, confirming attendance at scheduled appointments, and providing physicians with updates on recipient care.
